A quarter of a century of experience
In 1976, Farano & Kieviet's founder, Floyd Farano retired
from his position as General Counsel of a nationally
recognized transportation company. With 20 years experience
as an "In house" legal advisor for two major transportation
companies, and 15 years experience as a local planning
commissioner, he began private practice, specializing
in Land Use and Transportation Law.
Gradually, the practice expanded in size as well the areas
of specialization. Today, Farano & Kieviet's practice
is focused primarily in advising businesses in the Anaheim
and North Orange County area in connection with the legal
problems that face businesses and executives in the modern
business environment.
A Philosophy of personal service
While the opportunity, as well as the temptation, to expand
has been ever present, Farano & Kieviet has chosen to continue
to remain a small firm. Partners of Farano & Kieviet prefer
to foster close relationships with each other as well as
with their clients. "I shake my head when I hear stories
from executives of significant small to medium sized companies
who walk into large "Silk Stocking" firms, and find themselves
shuffled from associate to associate, and walk out with a
legal bill for thousands of dollars for $300.00 to $400.00
worth of legal work." says Charles Farano, the managing
partner of Farano & Kieviet. He continues by saying
that :"Much of our success is the product of knowing
our client's well and having a vested interest as
well as a "Hands on" approach to our practice. If you
want something done right, a lot of the time, you have
got to do it yourself. I can't expect to hand a
"Knotty" legal issue to a young associate and expect
him or her to take the same care as they would if it
was their own client."
Highest rating
Farano & Kieviet has received the highest rating from prestigious
"Martindale-Hubbell", which maintains the best known and well
respected attorney rating system in the United States
since 1982.
